CNC hydraulic sheet metal bending

Two 3-axis CNC hydraulic bending machines — one for long parts up to 4,000 mm, one for heavier gauges up to 10 mm — forming brackets, channels, trays, panels and enclosures.

Two press brakes, two working envelopes

JASSCO's bending cell is built around two CNC hydraulic machines. The first takes sheet up to 4,000 mm wide with a thickness capacity of up to 8 mm, suiting long cable tray sections, channels and panels. The second handles up to 10 mm thickness across 3,000 mm, for heavier brackets and structural parts.

CNC and hydraulic bending explained

Both machines are hydraulic press brakes with CNC control on three axes. Hydraulic drive provides the bending force; the CNC controls the stroke and back-gauge positions so that bend sequences can be repeated across a batch. This is why buyers searching for either “CNC bending” or “hydraulic bending” will find the same equipment described here.

Designing parts for bending

Bend radius, flange length, hole-to-bend distance and grain direction all affect how a part forms. When you send a drawing, our team reviews these details and raises any points that may need a design adjustment before a quotation is issued.

Equipment for this process

Suitable applications

  • Cable tray sections and covers
  • Brackets, channels and angles
  • Equipment panels, housings and guards
  • Electrical cabinet and enclosure parts
  • Racking and frame components

Technical inputs we need from you

  • Flat pattern (DXF) or 3D model, if available
  • Drawing with inside bend radius and angles
  • Material grade and thickness
  • Tolerance on flange lengths and angles
  • Quantity

Limits and confirmations

  • Thickness capacities (8 mm and 10 mm) are machine ratings — achievable thickness depends on material, bend length and tooling.
  • Minimum flange and bend radius are confirmed against available tooling.

Frequently asked questions

What is the longest part you can bend?

One CNC hydraulic machine accepts sheet up to 4,000 mm wide (up to 8 mm thick). The other accepts 3,000 mm (up to 10 mm thick).

Is CNC bending different from hydraulic bending?

On these machines they are the same process: a hydraulic press brake with CNC control of the stroke and back gauge.

Can you bend stainless steel and aluminium?

Material suitability, thickness and bend radius are confirmed for each enquiry against the drawing and available tooling.
