Cutting & blanking

Fiber laser cutting from your DXF files

Profiles, plates, brackets and blanks cut on a 2 kW fiber laser with a 1,500 × 3,000 mm bed — programmed directly from the DXF files you supply.

What fiber laser cutting is used for

Fiber laser cutting uses a focused laser beam to cut sheet metal along a programmed path. Because the cutting path comes straight from a digital drawing, it suits repeat parts, intricate profiles and short runs where press tooling would not be economical.

At JASSCO, laser-cut blanks often move on to bending, welding, powder coating and assembly in the same facility, so a single drawing package can cover the complete part rather than just the cut profile.

How we work from your drawings

The catalogue lists the laser's use as sheet cutting from DXF. Send a DXF for each part together with a dimensioned PDF drawing showing the drawing revision, material grade, thickness, critical dimensions and quantity. Our team checks the files and confirms what is achievable before quoting.

Equipment for this process

Suitable applications

  • Brackets, plates and precision-profiled blanks
  • Automotive, industrial and electrical components
  • Decorative metalwork and screens
  • Blanks for bent and welded assemblies

Technical inputs we need from you

  • DXF file for each part
  • Dimensioned drawing (PDF) with revision
  • Material grade and thickness
  • Edge, burr and tolerance requirements
  • Quantity and order frequency

Limits and confirmations

  • Maximum sheet size is set by the 1,500 × 3,000 mm bed.
  • Maximum cutting thickness depends on material grade and is confirmed at enquiry — it is not published here.
  • Tolerances and edge quality are agreed against your drawing.

How to enquire

Use the request-for-quotation form to upload drawings and specifications, or email sales.jasscosteel@gmail.com. Our team reviews feasibility and comes back with questions or a quotation.

Frequently asked questions

What file format do you need for laser cutting?

A DXF for each part, plus a dimensioned PDF drawing that shows the revision, material, thickness and quantity.

What is the largest sheet you can laser cut?

The fiber laser has a 1,500 × 3,000 mm bed. Parts that fit within that sheet size can be nested and cut.

Can laser-cut parts be bent and welded as well?

Yes. Laser-cut blanks can move on to CNC bending, welding, powder coating and assembly in the same facility, subject to drawing review.

Have a drawing or specification ready?

Send it to our manufacturing team. We review the technical requirements and come back to you with questions or a quotation.
