CNC and mechanical metal perforation
Metal perforation has been at the core of JASSCO's work since 1990. Today the plant runs CNC and mechanical perforation machines for sheet and coil up to 5 mm thick and 1,280 mm wide.
A dedicated perforation line-up
The catalogue documents four groups of perforation equipment: a CNC pneumatic perforation machine (up to 3 mm, 1,280 mm wide), four mechanical perforation machines (up to 5 mm, 1,280 mm wide), a CNC perforation machine (up to 3 mm, 1,000 mm wide) and seven mechanical perforation machines for lighter material (up to 1.5 mm, 500 mm wide).
Having both CNC and mechanical machines lets each job run on the equipment that suits its thickness, width and pattern.
Patterns and pitches
Round, square, slotted, hexagonal and decorative perforation patterns can be specified. Hole shapes can be arranged on a straight (rectangular) pitch, a staggered pitch or a triangular (60°) pitch. The pattern, hole size and pitch together determine the open area — the proportion of the sheet that is open — which drives airflow, visibility, weight and strength.
Specifying a perforated sheet
To quote accurately we need the material grade, thickness, sheet or coil size, hole shape and size, pitch and pitch arrangement, open area if it is a design requirement, and any plain (unperforated) margins. Confirm all pattern dimensions, margins and material requirements on the approved drawing.
